EL-FI shaft power monitors
The first load monitors were developed in 1975 and the shaft power technology was patented in 1979. By constantly measuring the shaft power transferred from the electric motor during a process, abnormal loads are discovered quickly and precisely. Processes and machinery can be stopped before major damage has occurred.

MSF softstarter with torque control
Emotron’s first softstarter appeared in 1983 and torque control was introduced in 1999. Our softstarters allow optimal control of machinery and processes through benefits such as: maximum soft start through torque control, continuous protection against under and overloading, water hammer elimination and up to 30 per cent reduction in the inrush current.

VFB/VFX and FDU variable speed drives
The forerunners to our current variable speed drives were introduced already in the seventies;
1998 Emotron was among the pioneers to introduce direct torque control. This technology makes exact control of an electric motor’s torque and speed possible in high dynamic processes.
For example, you can reach four times the usual nominal motor torque at 0 rpm.
Emotron VFB/VFX is a range of high performing variable speed drives designed for controlling asynchronous motors over a wide speed and torque range. Typical applications include centrifuges, cranes, elevators, saws, winders and milling machines. The FDU inverters from Emotron are especially designed for applications that include pumps, fans, compressors or blowers.
