EL-FI Drainage Control Monitor from Emotron EL-FI Drainage Control Monitor from Emotron [EL-FI DCM] gives greater lifecycle economy for 1 or 2 submersible pumps The DCM reduces the power consumption and the need for float switches by detecting the motor load and thus adapting the pump running time to the water flow. A common problem with submersible pumps used to drain, e.g. construction sites, mines and quarries, is that the external water-level detectors required to start and stop pumps often fail by becoming blocked by sludge. This causes increased pump system maintenance and downtime. |

Starting High Inertia Loads |
|
Wednesday, 06 July 2005 |
Starting High Inertia LoadsThere are a number of considerations when starting a high inerta load. It is important that the whole system is engineered correctly to prevent field problems and equipment failure. A High inertia load, requires an extended starting time to reach full speed. The start time is a function of the load inertia, the load speed and the starting torque developed by the motor. If we reduce the start voltage or current, the start time will extend. |
